Started as a sculptor in the earliy 90th. Today I’ve changed my way of thinking of art. I emphases the Japanese way of looking on art and handcraft. No limits, just art.
Therefore you will find painting as well as sculptures, water color as well as illustrations –and of course coffee cups.
I find visual art is the most friendly of all different kind of art expressions. It is quiet, what the piece says is up to the viewer. It is up to you to like – or turn your eyes away.
I want your eyes to stay, to come back, to want more.
To sustain.
There is something special about clay. The opportunities for success and failure. And, above all, the opportunities to achieve exactly the feeling I seek in the particular context I want to be.
Or, there where I want to give you the opportunity to be.
I think about the feeling in a platter or bowl, the feeling in a vase with a blooming iris or the magic in a matte black sculpture in the window.
You find it here.
A lot revolves around clay. Around utensils and art, kitchen art. But the ceramic came late in my life. From the beginning, I am sculptor and graphic artist. That, and a lot more, also reflectes here, on Vilija.se.
VoltairePerfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time.
